Q- My tank has a white wall behind it that I get a lot of glare through, is there anything I can do about it?

A- As far as the white wall is concerned; I paint the back of all of my tanks black. First reason is I like the contrast and it calms the fish. Second reason is it hides the cords, air tubes, and all that other stuff behind the tank. And the third reason is it blocks the glare off of the White Wall !!

A- I use a 100% acrylic latex paint and a small roller. I use like a sky blue for the 3 sides and a tan for the bottoms. I like the blue better than the black but the black does show off the fish more. I use backgrounds on my show tanks. I use the wide, clear tape used for packages. I find it stay on better than masking and holds tighter. They are a pain though.
