General Information:The Catoprion Mento, Wimple Piranha, from South America. While this fish is not a piranha, we thought it worth the effort to list this sister fish here. The catoprion mento has a wide distribution throughout South America. It is an attractive fish that can be kept in the home aquaria easily.
Aggression: ( 6 / 7 ) The fish is not capable of being shoaled in most instances. Some shoaling work has been done with varied degrees of success, but mostly failures have resulted in the loss of fish.
Breeding:I have not been able to verify any claims to captive brreding of this species. No known instances of aquaria breeding.
