Since we started as hobbyists originally, we have a particular preference when getting fish. We like to know what they are. In line with this way of thinking we thought that all of our customers would also like to know what the fish are that they are buying. So, we have begun to do what we can to correctly identify all specimens of fish that we have for sale or for our research work. This may sound like just common sense and with most fish it is very easy to do, but when importing fish and importing the less described species this can be an issue that is hard to accomplish.

We have decided that we can only use specific resources in our identification process. We will use scientific papers that are written and peer reviewed within accepted scientific publications and we will use Institutional/Museum information that is also based soley on scientific input. Therefore, we will not use any other websites where interpretation of data/observations is the source of that posted information. Why go to an interpretation when you can go to the source?
